G-Star Raw Footwear is available across key markets in Europe and continues to outperform sales targets and build on the strength of the successful launch of its premier collection.
 

MEN’S
 

MILITARY    For Fall/Winter 2008 G-Star Raw Footwear’s Military program continues to build on the key strengths of its core collection while presenting four new silhouettes. The Patton range is inspired by authentic military designs featuring Goodyear Welted construction, new comfort inner soles and high-grade durable materials. Carried over from last season the Patton Marker, Officer, Officer Cap, and Blan are offered in a variety of colors ranging from black to white leather and several hues of brown. New to Military are the Patton Marker Mix which combines leather with lightweight battle drill uppers, and the Patton Bracer, G-Star’s reinterpretation of classic engineer boots.  Rounding out the collection are two new Patton styles, Charger in leather/textile and Charger Suede in suede/canvas mix.

Inspired by the coveted G-Star Handcrafted apparel collection, the new Craft range presents six silhouettes and boasts great attention to details. Offering an innovative vertical welt construction process (Patent Pending), Craft’s boot uppers are stretched over the rib, affixed to the side of the inner sole, then chain stitched horizontally for durability. A rubber sole is then cemented over the mid sole and Blake stitched through the inner sole for additional strength. Craft is made of high-grade tanned Italian calf Vachetta leather with stout cow leather lining and offers quilted waistband details and a loop on the collar - similar to the brace loop found on G-Star’s sought-after jeans.  

Completing the collection is the Military Intelligence line, affording a smart, cleaner presence with simple design, but with the same rugged construction processes. Six styles are carried over with two new additions, the Attache and Garner.  G-Star Raw Footwear’s own successful Mission and Dossier boot provided inspiration, using high-grade materials with a flexible natural latex rubber out sole and unique design touches like straps and rivets, appropriated from G-star’s clothing line.
 

UTILITY   Taking evolutionary steps, the Utility collection has been refined with a subtler silhouette, sleeker outer soles and more functional uppers. Offered in two styles, the Service Despatch and Service Operator are finished with leather straps, webbing and metal buckles, giving high style with functionality.


NIGHT    For the Night collection, classics like Oxfords, Gibsons and American Navy Walkers are reinterpreted, with G-Star’s special eye to detail. ‘GS’ logo brogueing, contrasting colored stitching, and premium leather linings add edgy style to the line. Goodyear Welted Soles – using latex rubber composite out soles provides a suppler, lighter and more flexible feel in the Guise line. American Navy Walkers serve as a design inspiration and are adapted with high shine leather uppers and unique G-Star printed leather linings. The Lorca silhouette has a cleaner aesthetic with sophisticated detailing like G-Star embossed leather soles, simple buckles and discreet logos and leather straps. Five main styles are offered with several variations of each silhouette to suit a variety of looks.

PT SPORT    In the PT Sport collection, athletic-inspired footwear is given the G-Star makeover. Taking note from G-Star garments, a premium palette of textiles, suede and leathers are used while details like G-Star embroidery, badges and logo treatments brand this footwear line. Proprietary manufacturing processes/materials offer extra comfort and durability. New to PT Sport are the Rebus – with a new style cup sole, high grade suede and mesh materials and G-Star branding; and the Girder – a reinterpreted Japanese work shoe using a new vulcanized construction method with washed canvas and exceptional detailing. 

Other developments include updates on G-Star Footwear’s bestselling Campus series with a sleeker ankle line – a perfect fit for the skinny jean. Classic flight chevron canvas is used for the uppers and features a unique padded ankle and a stamp designed rubber outer sole. The Tactic and Stamp return with progressive design changes and several new silhouettes.  The Tactic is a sophisticated sports-inspired casual shoe with a low profile cup sole for a retro edge and is constructed in high-grade leather and suede/nylon mixes. The Stamp is a low profile runner with neat details like embroidered/printed G-Star Raw denim logos and rubber toe bumpers coming in low and high-top styles. The Stamp Decker, inspired by deck shoes is offered in Nubuck, Leather, and Patent Leather and in low and high top styles, with similar detailing found throughout the Stamp range.

Also new for the season is the best-selling Blade range inspired by the original Military shoe. Blade features an athletic sole, lightweight construction available in leather, patent leather and suede materials. Similar to a cross trainer, the Blade was inspired by tactical military-spec shoe with an aggressive out sole design and finished with unique G-Star logo detailing.

 

WOMEN’S

COOPER   A success story since its launch, the popular Cooper collection is reintroduced for Fall/Winter 2008. The signature cemented construction is made in Italy with high-quality leather and offers belt and popper detailing found on G-Star apparel. The Fleet block heel pump, Squad ankle boot and Vander boot return for Fall/Winter, with the introduction of two new styles–the Lance and the Squadron.  The Lance is the first full height high-heeled boot offered in the Cooper collection, while the Squadron is slightly taller than the Squad ankle boot, which the designed is derived from.

AVENGER   Included in the chic, fashion-forward Avenger collection are high-heeled sling back pumps, ankle boots as well as mid-length boots crafted in Italy, providing exceptional level of refinement with two new silhouettes –the Sling and Sling Mix offering even more versatility. The color palette, understated and elegant in Black, Brown, Grey and combinations of Black Leather/Denim and Black Leather/Chevron mix with the soles made of unique rubber-injected leather.  Completed with leather straps, buckles and rivets, the Avenger provides excellent craftsmanship with a chic style that is distinctively G-Star.

MILITARY  Mirroring the men’s Patton collection, classic military boots are revamped with rivets, straps, buckles and flight chevrons.  Not foregoing function for fashion, each change has been carefully considered and tailored for the women.  Goodyear Welted construction provides superior comfort and durability, while the lightweight uppers are available in Natural Battle Drill, Panna Suede, White Canvas, or White Battle Drill Mix.

TROJAN  G-Star’s new footwear program offers longer toe shapes in flat boots. Uppers are constructed of black, grey and brown leather and G-Star’s new Chrome Check textile print. Featuring rubber soles, straps are made and inspired by G-Star’s belt webbing.

PT SPORT  G-Star’s Women’s PT Sport collection offers the popular Grade vulcanized construction program.  The unique soles are paired with feminine uppers constructed in Ripstop Nylon and feature strap closures, buckles and traditional lace-up designs.  Colors offered include Black, Chalk, White, and Lava.  New for Fall are leather styles in mono black and mono white.

The best selling vulcanized canvas shoe line Campus has been updated for Fall with new additions to the color palette – Battle Drill is now offered with Dune and Metal.  Dip-dyed at the end of the manufacturing process to give a rough, deconstructed finish, Washed Battle Drill is newly finished in Red, Navy, Combat and Castor. The Campus has also evolved with ankle-hugging padded high top versions, perfect for slim jeans.

Finally, a new direction in the vulcanized construction program is the Girder.  Battle Drill uppers are mixed with rubber out soles and unique G-Star detailing – an ankle patch on Kent State, buckles on the hi-top laced boot Attica and rubber moulded straps on Gogol.
